A Pinch-Me Moment: Where Breath, Community, and Joy Collide.
On the weekend I had one of those pinch-me moments where your personal and professional worlds collide in a little wonderland of connection, joy, and magic.
My daughter and her best friend have built a fabulous business called House of Happy Hour a space for pilates, breathwork, and mindful connection. They wanted young adults to step into a wholesome community… a place where you can show up on your own and immediately feel seen, held, and part of something real.
Not at a pub.
Not in the noise.
But in the magic of movement, wellness, fun, and genuine connection.
The Dream
A couple of years ago, I remember sitting on the end of Soph’s bed as she told me this dream. She was done with the same old routines, the pub just didn’t cut it and wanted a space where she could find her tribe: a community that was uplifting, wholesome, and motivating. Qualities our youth today recognise as essential.
So I said, why don’t you create your own space?
I didn’t have to convince her twice, she pitched it to Indi, and together they made it happen.
Sharing Breathwork & Connection
On the weekend, I had the privilege of guiding the breathwork session at their first birthday event a mindful, immersive experience for their growing community. It was incredible to watch young people lean into wellness, mindfulness, and connection, fully present and open-hearted.
Moments like this remind me why I love what I do at Breath Life Studio, creating experiences where people can pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves and others. Seeing Soph and Indi bring this vision to life was inspiring beyond words.
Reflections
To say I was proud is an understatement.
Proud of her.
Proud of them.
Proud of the relationship we share, and the fact that we get to experience moments like this together.
As a mum, being invited into her world, to do what I love, alongside her, for a community she cares so deeply about was pretty special. Watching young people lean into mindfulness, joy, and wellness, and seeing my daughter and her bestie create this space… it was pretty fabulous.
Grateful. Inspired. And still pinching myself, it’s a feeling I know I’ll keep replaying for a long time, sharing this little wonderland of connection, joy, and magic with my girl.
